| MORE TO FOLLOW.... The Southern Yankees rebounded and broke open a tight game to upend the pesky Mets 12-2. The game was tight early with the city rivals even at 2 apiece after a couple innings. The Southern Yankees added 2 more in the 3rd off tough Mets pitching and led 4-2 into the 6th. They then exploded for 8 runs in the sixth and 7th innings and blew the game open winning 12-2. Sam Bartoletta led the hitting attack with 3 hits and Reidy Oliva Joe dARELLI BOB ESPOSITO AND KENNY COMEBACK SILBERLING stroked 2 hits apiece as the offense broke out. Meanwhile on the mound Eric Judd was superlative giving up only 2 runs on 2 hits and striking out 5 Mets batters. A nice comeback win after getting the rust out last week. we have lots more growing and jelling as pitching consistency will be the key.
