Too many misses
by Hollywood Astros (35+ Division)

missing 3 starters players and missing too many plays, it was just one of those days were everything goes bad for one team and good for the other, all in all it was a fun game in a beautiful field.Props to the Yankees and umpires, everyone had fun.

CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU
by Southern Yankees (35+ Division)

Everyone knows that the Jersey Boys Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons Theatrical show is absolutely AMAZING & magical . It is a rags to riches thought provoking story with a medley of catchy music that has you jumping out of your seat. I have seen the show half a dozen times and would like to see it that many more as it is packed with symbolism & inspiration . It also is a pick yourself up; feel good story with Italian flair as you know of my love for last names ending in a vowel or pizza & pasta. The story as you know is about getting knocked down and picking yourself up that this column has been writing about for many years. And as many of you had voiced your concern lately that the recent color commentary's were not like previous seasons issues that sent a message and had you laughing. So we decided to break back out the journalistic cliches and skills and offer you some reading entertainment for your amusement. Call it my way of Working my way back to you - the reader. Well the Southern Yankees hitters couldn't take their eyes off the big baseball and sprayed hits all over the field in a rousing 15-5 victory over the tough and young Hollywood Astros. In a Your just to good to be true offensive display the Yankees kept battling after some early season under performances. But after today they might want to call anyone they know named Sherry before her boyfriends back in town and see if she can come out tonight and celebrate the big bust out game after. Oh what a night that might be..... Joe Delauder was masterful on the mound for the Southern Yankees scattering 5 hits in 6 innings while striking out 5 . Mike Ennis and Reidy Oliva both pitched well to close the game out and secure the victory. Reidy oliva, Sam Bartoleta straight off the red eye from out west and Eric Judd both clubbed 3 hits to lead the Yankees offensive barrage. Great sprawling catch in left by Joe Darelli and in right by Jeff Zagaria along with a nifty scoop at 1B by Frank Crupi. It was one of those too good to be true games that the Yankees are known for and hopefully will carry on in the future rest of season. Remember what we always tell you from past seasons- The wheel of life is always turning and soon it will be turning in your direction. Never wait or hesitate get in gear before its too late. Cause you may never get a second chance. You know the song. To all the SFBL players out there it is a privilege to continue playing semi pro baseball against talented young ballplayers such as the reader. Never doubt that you have what it takes to succeed on or off the field. Hope you enjoyed the wisdom and commentary and that it got you thinking. It is also my pleasure to entertain you via returning to my previous writing form! So Next time you see a 85 MPH fastball coming your way make sure you are singing in your head- Can't take my eyes off of you and square the ball up and launch it into the gap. Nothing feels better than that. Thank you for your time this time until next and always remember to Stay Thirsty my friends! Respectfully Submitted by Ray Asmar- Southern Yankees Player/Manager
