| Damian Gonzales found himself in a little bit of trouble in the second inning after striking out the side in the 1st. Three earned runs would find their way across the plate, but that would be the total sum of runs for the remainder of the game. Damian found his composure and ended his day collecting a total of 16K's. The White Sox offense was stifled early on just as in the prior week, but timely hitting by Franklin Brito, Newil Guzman, Stephen Saloman who missed jumping fence by less than a few feet, and Julio Hernandez who drove in the tie breaking run in the bottom of the eight. Defensively, Sev Arakelian made the play of the day by firing a laser to home plate from mid depth center field to cut off the tying run.
Stephen Saloman collected the win and the save pitching 2 scoreless innings.
All around a very exciting game, many accolades to the Delray Braves who played very well. |
