| It was a tough game for The D-Backs today. A double play ended a 1 out, 2 men on threat in the 1st inning for The D-Backs with no runs scoring. The Monarchs scored 6 runs in the 1st, knocking out starter Jay Habacht with his worst career outing. Things didn't get much better for the D-Backs relievers, as the Monarchs would put up 5 runs in the 2nd and 5 runs in the 3rd for a runaway 16-0 lead. The D-Backs would rally in the 5th inning, putting 3 hits together, but would only plate 1 run and leave the bases loaded for a 16-1 final score.
