| We don't play enough baseball games at Pompey Park in Delray Beach; but when we do? ....... On a scorching 85 degree sun splashed afternoon at the ballpark, while the unfortunate rest of the country was dealing with a vicious winter blizzard -the Southern Yankees & the Kooper City Royals had an interesting battle that was closer than the score indicated. More to follow..... As many of you who have been reading the color commentary know, over the years we always close the literary recap with Stay Thirsty my friends. It has been our staple closing message for two decades. Even when Dos Equis foolishly changed the ad campaign we decided to hunker down and keep the saying alive. Well now Heineken, which owns the brand smartly decided to revive the slogan and here we go again in 2026 as the new ad was just unveiled in the NCAA Championship Football Game earlier this week. So our beloved Jonathan Goldsmith officially returned to his iconic role as THE MOST INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD for Dos Equis after a 10 year hiatus. The revival commercial premier as I stated kicked off with a 60 second ad aired on 1/19 during the College Football National Championship broadcast. The new storyline explains his decade-long absence by revealing that the character suffered from amnesia. That mishap occurred after he bumped his head while exiting a capsule following his one way trip to Mars. Since many of you have made previous savvy investments with me in Musk related entities such as Spacex and xAI & you know all about Mars related planned trips in the future. You especially and most every reader of this weeks edition certainly understand the story theme although the ad agency was spot on with the old Mars commercial. As stated earlier Heinekin USA brought back the 80 + legendary actor to resume his role and make more zany wild dreamy commercials. Well its about time and if you had been reading this commentary over the past decade you would have brought him back even sooner. But thats a moot point as he is back and we look forward to watching more of his material throught the year. Lets get something straight- that is the most interesting man in the World remains upstairs in the heavens watching over all of us. But we pay tribute to the second most interesting man in the world and that would be Jonathan Goldsmith. Here is a little history of the icon who made DOS EQUIS famous with his creative, zany, hilarious and clever commercials that had you dreaming of that type of life. Since this column always sends a message about getting knocked down and RISING and since he was down rose up then was on hiatus for many years and now thankfully he has returned to star in the commercials. This weeks color commentary theme will definitely make you laugh and should get you thinking about your own situation and how you can overcome any obstacles in your path. No matter how out of the blue, big, unfair, upsetting or unnerving they may be. Lets give you a little background on the actor who plays the most interesting man in the world and you will be amazed on how far he came from where he was. Jonathan Goldsmith appeared in over 350 TV shows,westerns and other films with legends John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He hit a 10 year rut after the films where there were no acting offers coming his way. And at one point he was driving a garbage truck in Beverly Hills to make ends meet. Yes its true. He had financial issues that all of us experienced at sometime in our lives but he was picking up the trash and sleeping in his truck. Like we always advocate the wheel of life is always turning and it turned in his direction as it will turn in yours too in the not to distant future. Everyone has an Angel waiting to guide them and point them in the right direction . We try to always do that here with the symbolism and teachings that YOu can use to extricate yourself out of whatever has knocked you off your perch. Time to get back UP! He later received A call from the one & only agent or in the case HIS Angel who would deal with him and auditioned for the Dos Equis beer commercials as TMIMITW. You know what it stands for. HE beat out 500 other applicants after feeling he had no shot and landed the role- the rest is history. Now when he goes to Museums he is allowed to touch the art. Cuba imports cigars from him and mosquitoes refuse to bite him purely out of respect. Sasquash AKA BIGFOOT has taken a photograph of HIM! Those are just a few appetizers for you to laugh about. When Goldsmith was asked about this secret he said my advice on how to be more interesting is to be INTERESTED and do a lot of different things including he stressed reading a lot as his secret. After hearing and doing some research on him his main theme he had learned from his father was this... It applies to all of us and it is simply not to give up. So when as we always sermonize here every week you have many ifs and's, buts and rejections thrown your way - you have to get back in the batters box of life and take your cuts. Like we always tell you in this column - good things will undoubtedly happen and you will be back on top. Goldsmith flipped his life after all those impediments. Other favorites of mine are his lines His business card simply states I'll call you. He lives vicariously through himself and once had an awkward moment just to see how it feels. He is now out of LA and living quietly under the radar in Vermont. And if he were to mail a letter without postage it would still get there. He has returned this month in his iconic Dos Equis commercials as one just flashed by today during the NFL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. We all look forward to whats ahead from the ad agency and his adventures throuout the world. Oh in between all this entertainment the Yankees played a baseball game and defeated the young and fiesty Kooper City Royals 8-3 The score was close thru out but the Southern Yankees broke it open with 5 late runs to pull away and secure a spot in the upcoming playoffs. Juan Chaviano hit a long 3 run bomb to break it open. Sam & Justin Bartoletta, Angel Medina, Luis Sanchez and Eric Judd ALL slapped two hits apiece to lead the attack for the Southern Yankees. Bobby Stallone excelled on the mound and Juan Chaviano and Luis Sanchez closed it out after a tough early battle. Sorry last weeks recap was so short but it has been overwhelming with the market volatility at work and keeping a wonderful practice of clients smiling .
