| After being down by 5 runs the Indians made a comeback against a great team as the southern Yankees a team that we have a lot of respect for, but this time we make sure we are going play better against them, I hope we can keep playing smart and having respect for our opponents. |

| Many of you remember the classic baseball movie The Sandlot. It takes place in the San Fernando valley many years ago. Scotty Smalls is the new boy in the neighborhood,seeking desperately to fit in with a group of boys who played baseball daily on a field called The Sandlot. Well the Southern Yankees were desperately trying to fit and get into the playoffs but a great start turned into a poor finish. On a windy sun drenched day at beautiful Sugar Sand Park the Broward Indians smacked the Southern Yankees 14-7 after being down 5-0 early. Joe Darelli led the Yankees with 3 hits and Dan Lozinski clubbed 3 hits for the Indians . More to follow about the Sandlot in next weeks color commentary... Stay thirsty my friends! |
