Twins Keep Improving |
by South Florida Twins (35+ Division)
|
First of all a big thanks to PC Cabrera for sticking around and doing everything possible to create an official game with our shorthanded Twins. As far as the Twins players that came to play today, thank you! We needed everyone of you. Leo and Cesar continued their hit parade as it appears those two are hungry for our Team MVP. In-spite of being shorthanded the Twins sent 4 pitchers to the mound today and put on a strong effort against a solid Metz Team. We want to welcome back to the SFBL 2 long time solid players Alex Pereira and Joey Ruiz. Again, an improvement over the previous week. |

Metz made quick work of the Twins |

The Metz organization want to give out a BIG THANK YOU TO THE UMPIRING CREW AND DAVE THE CHIEF UMPIRE, rarely do they get credit for the good things they do, they are always talked about when something goes wrong!, well Sunday they went beyond what is expected of them and worked with both teams TO GET THE GAME IN.. Once the game was finally started the Metz made quick work of the Twins scoring 6 runs in the 1st inning and then cruising to the win. Andrew Smiley once again showed why he is the most dominate pitcher in the league pitching 5 innings striking out 11 batters and not allowing any runs for the win. He also was 2 for 3 with a 2b, homerun and 3 RBI's to help his cause , JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE OFFICE FOR THE BIG UNIT. PC Cabrera pitched the last two innings to pick up the save and Eric Sanchez had two hits |
