Mariners stay focused for win in nail biter.
by Miami Mariners (35+ Division)

This was a very close game and well played by both teams. Mariners were off to an early lead but the Metz showed discipline and determination, tying the game in the 7th inning. The Metz' PC and Smiley did an amazing job at pitching, combining for a total of 15 strikeouts. A special mention to our pitcher Javier Diaz who pitched another full game, having 8 strikeouts and no walks. Player of the game goes to 2nd baseman Gabriel Hernandez who has a single, double, 2 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Gabriel really shined at fielding when he turned multiple double plays as well as made an amazing catch at a line drive hit in the hole late in the game. Gabriel's caliber as a 2nd baseman is unmatched. It was a pleasure playing with the Kendall Metz today, wishing them great success the rest of the season.
