| The Tigers keep winning as they roll to their 6th straight, with a 7-3 win over the Miami Black Bats. It was a well played game for the Tigers, featuring more good defense as well as more solid hitting from the top of the order. The Black Bats starter would hold the Tigers scoreless until the 4th, when Andre would lead off with a double to right and ultimately come crashing into home on a RBI double by Jose C. Tigers would score another in the 5th as current Batting title leader, Marc Morrow, would double and score that inning. Then in the 6th, with Scott playing in his last game, would go out in style, blasting a deep shot to center that would result in a 2 run Inside the park HR. In the 7th, Marc would add his own Inside the Park HR to this game, knocking in 2 with a line shot to right. Also staying hot at the plate would be Adam, going 3 for 4. Adam would also come up golden in the field, making a diving stab at 3B to quiet a Black Bats rally. Albert would slam the door in the 9th, by striking out the side.
Side Note: we would like to thank Scott for being part of the Tigers this season. He has been an integral part of our success this season with his stellar play in the field and at the plate. He will be sorely missed but we wish him the best of luck in all of his endeavors! |
