| The A's extended their early season winning streak to 3 after defeating a very solid Miami Jays squad on Sunday by a score of 4-0. The A's were once again led by their ace Alex Arteaga who pitched another gem. Alex went 6 strong innings while striking out 7 and did not give up a run. He has gone back-to-back games without giving up a run and lowered his ERA to 2.71. Andrew Lane made his season debut and although not having great command was able to pitch the final 3 innings to earn the save. The A's are pretty excited about this 1-2 punch.
Offensively, the A's welcomed back Gus Diaz after a season hiatus. The long-time Athletic returned with a bang as he went 3-3 with an RBI and stolen base. The A's also welcomed onto the roster Ernie Lorenzo who played with the A's a couple seasons back and is now joining the team on a steady basis. Ernie had a big day going 2-4 with an RBI double. Jose Torres continued his hot hitting with a 1-2 performance with 2 RBI. Isaac Seaone extended his hit streak to 4 and Alvaro Gomez, Aron Marcinkoski and Andrew Lane all chipped in hits.
Altogether, it was a very well played game by both teams and the A's were able to prevail at the end. Always a pleasure to play the Jays we are sure we will see them in the post-season once again! |

| We ran into some good pitching on the A's side. Even when we were able to get men on base, we could not get timely hits and also ran into some baserunning mistakes. As always, games vs the A's are good ones, we look forward to playing them again. |
