Tigers scalp Braves in close game...
by Coral Springs Tigers (28+ Division)

Tigers win their 2nd in a row, beating last season's Master Division Champs, Broward Braves. Great game to take part in, with some good pitching on both sides. For the Tigers, starter Rick Cabello was in top form, going 5 strong innings, holding a solid Braves lineup to only 3 runs, 2 of which were unearned. Rick would also notch 8 strikeouts before turning the ball over to Albert Gonzalez for the save. Offensively, the Tigers would be held scoreless for 4 innings as the Braves pitcher would get out of several jams with some crafty pitching. Then, with 2 runners on in the 5th inning, Jason would hit a towering shot to deep left that would give Tigers the lead. The resilient Braves would come back to tie the following inning, but the game wouldn't be tied for long. In the 6th, Cesar would leadoff the inning with a solo shot to deep left center. Tigers would get an important insurance run that inning, with David Carnevale stealing 2nd, and Adam knocking him in with a clutch base hit. Marc Morrow returned to the lineup enjoying another multi-hit game. Tigers would also get several clutch plays in the OF, with Marc and Jason going all the way to the wall to keep the game close. Good win for a Tigers team that is still meshing together all their new players...
