| The A's quickly silenced and humbled a very loud Kendall Brewers squad on Sunday. The Brewers came out on Sunday with lots of talk, but unfortunately they left their bats at home as their trash talking was put to rest by the A's ace Alex Arteaga who pitched an absolute gem on Sunday to lead the A's to a 11-1 victory. Alex pitched a completed game while striking out 15 to earn the victory. He took a no-no into the 8th but lost it with 2 outs and ended up giving up 3 hits and 1 run. Offensively, the A's combined for 14 hits in this wood bat contest. They were led by Luis Cabral who went 5-5 with 3 doubles off the fence and 2 RBI. Nos Labrada also had a big game with 2 hits and 2 RBI while Isaac Seaone continued his hot start with a 2-4 performance with 3 RBI. The A's evened up their record to 1-1 and will hope to find their pace again going into July. |
