Mariners win 12-11
by Kendall Metz (28+ Division)

The bottom line is the Mariners pulled out the W which is the ONLY stats that count, but to say they got to smiley without mentioning the errors which prolong the 2nd inning...they scored 1 run in the 5th on an error by our 1st basemen and in the 8th on two pass balls. Then to credit a double on a fly ball that should have been caught (LOL)in the 9th and the batter ending up at 3rd base because of the 2 base throwing error that followed the LF dropped ball... that put the Metz in a very bad spot in the bottom of the 9th..Eddie Cabrera had just K the first batter and had that batter on a 1-2 count when he hit a lazy high fly ball that the LF didn't catch and hell broke loose and he ended up at 3rd. The final run didn't score on a laced fly out by Diaz ( lol ) it was a soft fly ball that was deep enough to score the run lol. BOTTOM LINE THE MARINERS WON THE GAME they capitalized on our mistakes and beat us. We scored 11 runs ONLY one was unearned and that was in the 1st inning the other 10 were ALL earned.. regardless it was a good game and we cant wait for the rematch AGAIN lol

Mariners win a close game
by Miami Mariners (28+ Division)

As the reigning league champions the Mariners knew they had tough competition in the Kendall Metz. The Metz took an early 1-0 lead in the first on a early Mariners Error. The Mariners later had a 7 run 2nd inning off Metz Ace Andrew Smiley. Credit must be given to the Metz as they continued to battle, paired with some solid hits and some Mariners defensive miscues, the Metz tied the game in the top of the 9th. Not to be out done Carlos Bencomo hit a double to left field, and advancing to third on an errant throw. Javier Diaz laced a sac fly to bring in Carlos for the winning run. A hard fought game by both teams and we look forward to our next game.
