Juan Gonzalez flirted with a no-hitter and settled for a two hit shutout. Gonzalez walked two, hit a batter, and struck out six. Paul Tunink led the offense, going four for four with four RBI. Jamie Siragusa went three for three with two RBI, including his league leading third triple of the campaign. Claude Love, Jose Morales, Mike Fields, and Phil Laufman had two hits each for the Halos.
