| The Palm Beach Angels of Coconut Creek (representing greater Fort Lauderdale) outlasted the Dade Nationals, 9-1 at soggy Sunset Park.
Jose Estevez tossed a complete game four hitter for the win. Estevez did not walk a batter and struck out seven, retiring the Nats in order in the first, second, fourth, sixth, eighth, and ninth innings.
Jamie Siragusa led the offense with three hits and three RBI. Estevez, Mike Fields, Phil Laufman and Juan Gonzalez added two hits each. Alvaro Gomez, perhaps in retaliation for last week's Player of the Week snub, drilled a long home run. |
