Rough 1st Inning Too Much for Bums
by South Florida Beach Bums (28+ Division)

The Davie Tigers scored 9 runs in the first inning on 5 hits, 3 walks, a hit batsman and 3 Bums' errors. The 9 run deficit was too much for the Bums who combined for 8 hits. The Tigers added 5 more runs in the 4th inning making it a 14-0 game. The Bums rallied in the 5th inning to score 5 runs including an inside the park HR by Nick Kautz. The Tigers added an insurance run with a 6th inning HR to put up the 10-run lead and eventual mercy rule. Charles Sano went 3-3 with a double for the Bums.

Davie Tigers get their 2nd win of the season against the SF Beach Bums. The visiting Tigers would score 9 runs in the 1st with singles from Adam, Carlos, and a 2 RBI single from Ricardo to get things rolling. Sal would stay red hot for the Tigers lining a 2 RBI double to left as well. Ray was strong on the mound again, going 5 innings and striking out 4. Tigers would score 5 more runs in the 4th inning, with veteran Jay Auriemma leading off with a walk, and Tiger CF Gustavo getting a base hit to start things off. Sal would get another RBI double that inning, and Kevin Parsons would come through with a 3 RBI double in the gap to clear the bases. Cesar would follow Ray on the mound and was stellar, not allowing a run, while striking out two. Highlight of the game would be the solo HR by veteran Tiger, Daniel Stramwasser. Danny would crush a fastball to deep left center for his 1st homer as a Tiger, and more importantly seal the win for the Tigers. Tigers are playing some solid, fundamental baseball and look forward to Sunday's matchup against the Southern Yankees.
