| A six run rally in the top of the eighth, highlighted by an RBI triple by Anthony DeFilippis and a three run double by Jamie Siragusa led the Palm Beach Angels of Coconut Creek (representing greater Fort Lauderdale)to a 9-6 win over the always formidable Miramar Rangers.
Alvaro Gomez earned the win in relief of Juan Gonzalez, who got the emergency start for the short staffed Angels.
Gonzalez pitched heroically after a rocky first inning. |

| Rangers open their season against the always tough Angels. Jaime Soto took the mound for the Rangers and would pitch a great game through 6 innings. Albert Gonzalez would enter the game and also pitched well but several miscues on the field would open the door for the Angels in the 7th and allowed them to get the victory. We wish Claude Love of the Angels a speedy recovery as we heard he was hospitalized prior to sundays game. |
