| A's Avenge Early Season Loss |

| The A's avenged an earlier season loss to the Canes with a 6-1 win on Sunday. Behind 9 hits and a strong start by Alex Arteaga, the A's improved to 8-3 and a tie for 2nd place in the Premier Division with one game left versus the Canes before heading into the playoffs. Arteaga ended up going 6 strong innings, striking out 4 and giving up an unearned run to improve to 3-1 on the season with a 1.10 ERA. Ulpi Puente and Siby Vizoso pitched the final 2 innings to secure the win. Offensively, the A's were led by Albert Jardines who continued his hot hitting of late with a 2-3 performance with an RBI and 2 runs scored. 7 other A's had hits on Sunday including Carlos Alvarez who smoked a double to RF. All in all, it was a great win for the A's who are on a 3 game winning streak and looking to end the season strong. |
