| A's Knockout Red Sox, improve to 6-3 |

| Despite a night of rain, the A's were able to take the field against the Red Sox on Sunday and combined for 14 hits and beat the Sox 12-1 to improve to 6-3. The A's had 5 players with 2 hits: Eric Perez (2 doubles), Siby Vizoso, Luis Garcia, Carlos Alvarez and Juan Sabater (3 RBI). Albert Jardines also added to the offense with a base clearing double in the 4th after having a double stolen in the 1st inning on a great catch by the Sox left fielder. Ramses Tur also added an RBI double in the game. On the hill, Alex Arteaga improved to 2-1 with a 4 inning win giving up 1 run despite a very muddy mound. Ulpi Puente and Timmy K finished the game by going 2 innings while striking out 5. |
