Sox lose tough game in doubleheader
by Miami Red Sox (Premier Division)

After giving up four runs in the first inning on errors, the Red Sox settled down behind Sox starter Cory Casuso's complete game, eventually tying up the game 4-4 in the top of the 8th inning. An ESPN Highlights horizontal catch by the A's center fielder saved two runs and the A's would go on to score two runs of their own on two walks and two singles in the bottom of the inning.

For the second week in a row, the A's jumped onto Alex Pena's back to earn another victory and improve to 5-2 after defeating the Miami Red Sox 7-4. Alex was absolutely dominant as he took a no-no into the 7th and with 2 outs and a costly error, the Red Sox finally banged out a hit. Despite the loss of the no-no, Alex went the distance striking out 14 hitters, at one point striking out 7 in a row. Offensively, the A's struck for 4 early runs in the first inning as Ariel Bello, Albert Jardines, Siby Vizoso and Juan Sabater all had singles. This 4-0 lead almost slipped away but the A's tacked on 3 in the last two innings on a 2 run single from Ramses Tur and an RBI single from Luis Garcia. Ramses also had an incredible diving catch in the 2nd to steal a double from the Red Sox. All in all, a great win for the A's.
