The Metz grabbed an early lead scoring 3 runs , 2 on a single by Frank Pagilughi in the first inning, The Metz pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning, an error scored one run and Eric Sanchez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring an other run. The Metz tallied five runs in the fifth inning lead by Eddie Cabrera's in side the park grand slam to put the game away for good. Eric Sanchez led the 17 hit parade collecting 4 hits.
