Walk this way!
by Southern Yankees (35+ Division)

The Miramar Rangers came back from a 14-8 deficit late to edge the Southern Yankees 15-14 in a hard fought game. mORE TO FOLLOW.... Hats off to the Miramar Rangers and classy Player/Manager Alex Dickson/Felipe and his squad. They rallied in the 9th to shock the Southern Yankees 15-14 IN A VERY COMPETITIVE GAME. The contest started out as a battle between two pitchers who were dealing for their respective clubs. The problem on both sides was a lack of defense as many unearned runs scored. After 5 innings the game was knotted up at 6-6 as both pitch Eric Judd of the Yankees and Louis Tiant of the Miramar Rangers were basically in control. In the 6th inning the Southern Yankees would score 6 times banging out many hits to lead 12-6 But the pesky never say die Rangers clawed out two runs to make it 12-8 SOUTHERN Yankees going into the 7th. The Yankees would score 2 more runs to make it 14-8 and Eric Judd struck out the side in the bottom of the 7th to make it 14-8 going into the double snowman 8th. After the Yankees went quietly the Rangers proceeded to take advantage of some errors, walks, and timely hits and a bad managerial move by yours truly. Failing to make a pitching change the Rangers capitalized on all the noise. They executed a sac fly, scored on wild pitches, a few walks errors and two strike hits. You have to give them credit as they came all the way back and scored 7 times to take the lead and end it 15-14 Rangers on top. WHAT a game. For the Rangers Felipe and Louis had two hits led their team. For the Yankees ,Miguel arriba el son Franquiz smacked 4 hits and drove in 3 runs. Pete Fricker and Jeff Zagaria both smacked 3 hits apiece . Bob Esposito, Zack Onofrietto and Bobby Stallone all clubbed 2 hits each to contribute offensively . The star was Eric Judd who struck out 11 and went all the way in the heartbreaking loss after his Manager didn't bring him relief. We look for th erest of our MIA stars tadd more depth next Sunday We will regroup & bounce back next week and maybe have some late inning heroics of our own. We are so due and should play much better. Thank you for your time this time until next, and ALWAYS Remember to Stay Thirsty My Friends!
