Tigers use longball to secure spot in Playoffs...
by Davie Tigers (28+ Division)

In grand fashion, the Tigers would hit 4 HR's to march into the Playoffs. Adam would start things off in the 1st, lining a shot over the RF wall for his 1st HR as a Tiger! The Tigers would score 5 in the 3rd, as Sneider Melendez would start things off with a double. Getting hits that inning would be Jose, Ricardo and the red hot Gustavo Bordones. Ray would be solid on the hill, allowing a few runs in the 4th and 6th, but this game would be about the Tigers offense. In the 5th, Ricardo would continue his hot hitting as well, getting things started with a hard single to left. He wouldn't be at 1st for long, as Gustavo would hit another HR for the Tigers! In the 6th, Tigers would tack on 3 more runs paced by hits from Chayanne, Sneider, Yasu and Jose. Yasu, who had been inserted in the lineup in the 4th, had singled and now doubled in his 1st two at bats. This was a sign of something grand to follow. In the 7th, the hit parade would continue and ultimately seal the game. Gustavo would start things off with a double to center. Up next would be the cantankerous (grab a dictionary, folks), but hard hitting Carlos Fernandez, who would get in on the HR derby by going deep over the right field wall. With back to back walks to Mike and Andy, and Chayanne reaching on an error, the bases would be loaded, setting the stage for Yasu. Yasu would not disappoint as he would clear the bases with a line shot over the left field wall for a walk off Grand Slam! What a way to end the regular season as the Tigers move on to face the Perrine Monarchs in the playoffs!
