| Alvaro Gomez hit two home runs as part of a four hit day, and Rob Kuester highlighted an 11 run first inning with a grand slam off the scoreboard as the Palm Beach Angels of Coconut Creek (representing greater Fort Lauderdale) helped to set baseball back 150 years with a sloppy 23-11 win over the Miramar Rangers.
The only thing sloppier than the quality of baseball was the condition of the Cypress Bay infield as an irrigation accident caused the shortstop area to become a pretty fair imitation of a cranberry bog.
Jose Morales also had four hits for the Halos. |
