Tigers bats go cold in December...
by Davie Tigers (28+ Division)

In what would be the Tigers first true test of the season, the Tigers could not get anything done offensively against the solid Monstrous pitchers. It also didn't help that 3 of the Tigers best hitters were not available for this critical matchup. But that is no excuse as The Tigers would leave 6 runners on base through the 1st 3 innings alone. Ray was solid on the mound, really only allowing 2 ER. Defensively, there were several good plays from both teams. Kevin would make a nifty diving play at SS to end a Monstrous scoring threat in the 2nd. Also in that inning, Mike would team up with Chayanne for a 5-3-2 double play to nail the speedy Bory Rios at the plate. Then in the 6th, Gustavo would head all the way to the wall in CF to track down a hard line shot, and keep the game close. Then in the 7th, the defensive play of the game would come form the Monstrous, as the Tigers would score a quick run. Sal would double to lead off the inning and score off of a Mike Orris RBI single. Mike would eventually move to third, and Ricardo would come up in a big spot. Ricardo would jump all over a fast ball for an absolute missile, but the Monstrous SS would make a diving snare while being drawn in on the infield! Both teams really showed how the game is supposed to be played with quality pitching and defense, and Tigers look forward to playing the Monstrous again at full strength.

Monstrous Beat The Team To Beat!
by Monster Mini Golf Monstruos (28+ Division)

The Davie Tigers came into this game Undefeated, atop the sfbl standings. The Monstruos however have lost a game, but the lost to them is spoke about as a fluke. To them it is something that should of never happened, something that will never happen again. The Monstruos are finally locked in, and now after beating the top team in the SFBL in a hard fought game, they feel as if they have now proven they are the best of the best. Led once again by Bory Rios who struck out 9 in 5 innings collected the win. He also went 3 for 4 with yet again another triple his 6'th of the season. Alec Sanchez came in the clutch twice bringing in the go ahead run in the 6'th and an insurance run in the 8'th. Brian De La Nuez or shall I say Uehara, came in once again, and shut the door in the ninth for his league leading 3'rd save. All in all great hard fought game by both teams. Don't forget to stop by Monster mini golf for the Mini Golf experience of your lifetime. Also are you in need of car?? Rapid Rate Auto has the best prices in south florida.
