| It's been a brutal sad week for the residents of Maui and the tragic firestorm than engulfed the tropical paradise. With all kinds of wierd geocosmic engineered weather here there and everywhere that I have alluded to in the past year- you may asking yourself- When is the rainbow coming ? To say that life has been fun for anyone except for the political crooks on both sides is an understatement. After viewing several times you will soon realize that your' troubles will melt like lemon drops'. Your just running out of time and I understand. Life has been anything but normal and the message of this writer of the past few years has been- 'live your life and throw the book out the window'. You want no regrets especially since those many freedoms which were standard protocol are being taken away from all of us by the 1% dictating to the 99%. Dreams really do come true if you are enthusiastic, passionate, believe, persevere, and work hard. And not to mention have really big ones where the timid would just pass the opportunity you clearly see in front of you. Remember Gretzky said 'you miss 99% of the shots you don't take.' So 'those dreams that you dream of' like the lyric in the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow 'bluebirds fly and dreams really do come true'. Don't get discouraged or brainwashed -you need to filter the content and make your own informed decisions on and off the field. Oh I forgot the Southern Yankees played a baseball game and hit a couple long balls over the left field rainbow and overwhelmed the Broward Marlins 14-1. Reidy Olivo crushed a long bomb and teammate Melvyn Martinez started singing 'why oh why cant I' and hit a monster shot too. The Southern Yankees were led by Steve Sandman who in the leadoff spot walked 4 times and stole 5 bases. Yaoandi Acuna slapped 3 hits and Jerry Wichert, Sam Bartoletta and Vinny Zarella smacked 2 hits apiece to lead the well balanced attack. Reidy and Melvny both hit shots in the general direction of the rainbow and the game was a blowout early. The Marlins usually score a multitude of runs but were dialed down by another stellar pitching performance by Melvyn Martinez. He shut the Marlins out and only gave up 2 hits while fanning 8 with an assortment of nasty pitches. The Southern Yankees have jumped out to 4 wins in 5 games and are dedicated to getting to the big dance again and another shot at the perhaps 8 time champion Dade Nationals. Hey the 'dreams that you dream of once in a lullaby' hopefully will really come true. So getting back to the theme to all of you I hope that your 'troubles melt like lemon drops and the dreams that you dare to seek really do come true'. YOU ALL HAVE WHAT IT TAKES DONT LET THAT INNER VOICE STEER YOU AWAY- 'FOLLOW YOUR HEART YOU WILL NEVER GO WRONG'- BABE RUTH.
